Data Deletion
If you would like Bud Agency to delete personal information or platform data we hold about you, follow these instructions.
How to request deletion
Email hello@bud.agency with:
- Subject line: Data deletion request
- The name of the business or individual the request relates to.
- The platforms involved if known (for example, “Meta ad account 12345” or “client engagement records”).
- A contact email we can use to confirm completion.
What we will do
- We will acknowledge your request within five business days.
- We will verify your identity and authority to make the request.
- We will delete the data within 30 days of verification, unless we are legally required to retain it (for example, taxation and corporations law record-keeping obligations).
- We will email you a confirmation when deletion is complete, including a confirmation reference.
What this covers
Deletion requests can cover any of the following:
- Personal contact information held in our CRM.
- Performance snapshots and report archives derived from advertising platform data.
- Tokens used to access advertising platforms on your behalf (these are revoked rather than deleted, and revocation is irreversible).
We do not hold ad account data after the underlying token is revoked or after the client business has removed Bud Agency from their Business Manager. Removing us from your Business Manager is the most direct way to stop ongoing access.
What we cannot delete
We may be required to retain certain records to meet legal obligations, including:
- Tax and accounting records (seven years under Australian law).
- Records subject to legal hold or active dispute.
Where retention is required we will tell you which records are affected and the legal basis.
